ABOUT

FIRST IN BREAST DRESSED

Welcome to First in Breast Dressed! A space for you to feel supported in all things breast health, breastfeeding and the motherhood journey. Over on the blog search for hints, tips and stories I have shared for your reading pleasure. Stay a while and tour the one stop breastfeeding shop for your nursing accessory needs. Needing a feeding pillow? Nursing jewllery or lactation tea? Find all of this and more! I know first hand the trials and tribulations that come with being a Mum. Breastfeeding and motherhood are not easy. I am Mum to two boys with the most contrasting breastfeeding journeys there ever could be! I will share with you the valleys and hills we have experienced in our little lives as Mumma bear and cubs. I love these two little boys with all of my heart, but it doesn’t mean every part of me hasn’t broken down a hundred times over at some stage. Perinatal mental health is another huge passion of mine, you will see this shine through in the form of blogs and social media posts. That is where this page was born, out of a passion to debrief and connect as well as the thought others might need that kind of space as well. The research that came of my percieved low supply journey feeding Lachlan was spilling out of my head and being wasted on those that did not need to know. To live, talk and breathe breastfeeding is really only helpful if the families you connect with are breastfeeding themselves! I want to connect with you! The breastfeeding mothers, supportive partners and amazing friends. From the research one message struck a cord more than all the others combine. I urge you to seek early intervention. If your intuition speaks to you, trust it! Mumma intuition is the third greatest gift we birth as Mums, the first two being our babies and our placenta (that organ is amazing, is it not?!) Ask the questions and seek the help. I would love to connect with you! I am a physiotherapist by trade, and a Mum. Anything I do not know I will have a contact to refer you to! I love to chat, especially about all things boobs! Drop me a line, a suggestion for the shop, a topic for the blog, a friendly hi or a pat on the back (chocolates also accepted). If there is an area I haven’t yet researched, I have a long list of awesome mentors to point you towards. Looking forward to getting to know each and every one of you. Do what you need to do to get through today, and I will see you all here tomorrow. Jess xx
